The bare necessities. Every time I
hear that phrase I think of Mowgli, Baloo and The Jungle Book. The song
automatically begins playing in my head and I have visions of a very content
Baloo teaching Mowgli that life can be easy when you let go of the worries and
the strife.
In this story, Baloo is very
detached, and trusting that his life is supported naturally and stress-free.
Manifesting just the bare necessities?
Have you ever really thought about
it? Chances are you do trust that everything you need will be there when you
need it, and it is. Is it really what you want though? Do you have regular
experiences like:
*
The due date for the rent or mortgage is coming close and you have no idea how
it’s going to get paid…then boom. Just enough money shows up, just in time.
*
You have just enough food to feed your household from the regular grocery
store.
*
Your car is having some issues, it is nearing time to replace the tires and you
see no way to get new tires all around. You find a place that offers decent
used tires that you know will last you several months, and you have just enough
to get them.
All of these are amazing manifesting!
You have what you need, and for that gratitude abounds.
How would it make you feel if:
*You
could easily pay your rent or mortgage before the due date?
*You
could easily buy more fresh food from local farmers and/or the organic co-ops and
health food stores?
*You
could easily afford to get the rain tires you really want, brand new?
Have you ever consciously decided at what
minimum you are willing to live? What about the maximum you’re willing to live?
Do you know that you really can choose?
Your Necessities Thermostat
In every area of your life, you have
a thermostat or a “set point”. You may
or may not be aware of it, though you certainly feel the manifestations of it
in your life.
Money gives an easy example. If your
money thermostat is set at $2,000 a month, then at any given time, that is all
you will be able to make on average. If you somehow fall below that average,
the difference will be made up in some way. It may show up in the form of cash
money, or it may show up as a lower bill than average, reduced gasoline prices,
or free groceries.
If you rise above the $2,000 monthly
average without raising your set point, chances are good something will happen
to bring you back to that $2,000 set point. Car or appliance repairs, doctor
bills, or even self-sabotaging such as failing to plan meals for an unusually
busy week which sends you over budget because you get take-out on top of your
normal grocery shopping.
The good news is that you can
increase your thermostat, and can do so quickly. Increasing your thermostat
consists of three things:
- Your belief in the possibility of it happening for you.
- Your willingness to dive deeply to release the “YeahButs”, doubt and fear.
- Your willingness to take action.
The “YeahButs”
The YeahButs….insidious little creatures. YeahButs
are sneaky creatures of the mind that slide in and bring forward doubt and
fear. Often these doubts and fears are hiding, they’re outside of your
conscious awareness. They might sound like
"Ooh, I want enough money to shop at Whole Foods!"YeahBut if I do that I’ll look like a snob.
"I would love to be able to afford that BMW I have been looking at for two years"
YeahBut if I get that new BMW, my sister will be soooo jealous. She’ll hate me and talk badly about me.
*sigh* "How amazing would it be to spend a month in Hawaii and write"
YeahBut what if I can’t complete the project? What if no one buys my book?
"That training seminar is perfect to teach me the next step. Oh my, there are two where I can learn to really boost myself forward!"
YeahBut, my husband thinks it’s silly and a waste of money. I don’t want him to tease me endlessly like he does other people.
The YeahButs can totally sabotage your dreams,
turning them into fairytale wishes far beyond the realm of reality…if you let
them. YeahButs cause constriction in the body, they can even shut down the mind
making it difficult or momentarily impossible to think clearly.
Enter the Action Phase
- Step 1. Possibility. Does it feel possible for you to change the YeahButs? The more possible it feels the faster it is likely to happen for you. If it feels impossible…step 2 is a must for you.
- Step 2. Deep program exploration, releasing doubt and fear. Any time something feels impossible this is simply doubt in action. Take a look around at the people you know and know of. Is there anyone who has accomplished what you feel is impossible for you? Likely there is – which means it is possible. “YeahBut…that’s them. They can do it. It’s only impossible for me.” If you are this deep into YeahButville, then step 3 is critical care for you.
- Step 3. Action. Take action. Sometimes taking action means stopping what you have been doing. Rest a moment. Reassess where you are and where you want to go. What do you really want? Write it down. Doesn’t feel possible? Who said it’s not possible? Why do you think that? How is it that you came to the conclusion that it’s not possible? Write these down. All of them. Logical or not doesn’t matter – write it down.
- Step of action: Look at your list. How many of these make no sense? Release them. You can use EFT tapping, visualize them in a bubble being sent off, or otherwise accessing the energy of these programs, these beliefs that limit you. Access the energy as deeply as possible and you will have faster results with fewer hiccups.
- Step of action: Begin to re-pattern your thinking consciously. Pay attention to your own thoughts and words. Especially when you are alone or at home with your family. Find yourself with limiting or “old” thoughts? It’s OK! It happens. As best you can, stop the brain train and re-route it. Consciously choose what you prefer to think – and make it all in positives, no words of negation like can’t, won’t don’t shouldn’t wouldn’t, etc. Repeat the positive framing at least three times. Out loud if you can. (I totally drove my son nuts in doing this myself as I re-patterned how to talk to my children!)
- Step of action: Get help. Ask a gentle, trustworthy friend to help you. Hire a therapist or energy practitioner to help you. Energy healing practitioners can actually help you speed the process because you re-pattern your energy field directly, which supports your conscious thought re-patterning. Some energy techniques actually re-route the thought patterns and neuro pathways immediately! Invest in yourself. Read or listen to books to help you find the methods that work best for you. Attend seminars and classes that call to you.
“YeahButs” become “Ididits”
You really
are in the driver’s seat. Every one of your YeahButs can be transformed into an
Ididit.
The Ididits are expansive, fulfilling and exciting! Best
of all, the Ididits can be highly contagious, even moreso than the YeahButs. Transforming your YeahButs to Ididits might
take repetitive practice, stopping the YeahButs in their tracks the moment you
realize they have arrived. The day does come when you can say “Ididit”
comfortably and confidently. This might look like:
"Ooh, I have enough money to shop at Whole Foods this month!"
YeahBut if I do that I’ll look like a snob.Oooh, I get to really take care of myself this month! Here’s to my self care and health! This also serves to raise your financial and confidence thermostat. The subconscious goes “Ididit and it’s safe!” Therefore, your chances of doing it again the next month are greater.
"I am so excited to finally be able to afford that BMW I have been looking at for two years!"
YeahBut if I get that new BMW, my sister will be soooo jealous. She’ll hate me and talk badly about me.Weeee! Oh how much fun this is to drive, and reliable too. How nice it is to drive in rush hour traffic and know the power I need is there if I need it! So much less stress! “Ididit!" Peaceful, fun drives, feeling safe and confident.” This begins attracting to you more fun and peaceful moments. It may also open the door for you to embark on some adventures you’ve been thinking of.
*sigh* Relief! I have plenty to spend a month in Hawaii and write!
YeahBut what if I can’t complete the project? What if no one buys my book?Oh how exciting to have a month in Hawaii! There is plenty of time to write and play. Walk along the beach (thank goodness for talk to text on my phone!) and relax. The perfect title will show up, and be irresistible! “Ididit!” Heading back home, your writing nearly complete, you feel relaxed and confident. Your writing took an unexpected turn and is far better than you anticipated. Your confidence is bolstered, the title of your book clear, catchy and certain to gain the attention of readers. This confidence propels you forward into sharing your information more confidently, and getting paid for it.
Yes! I can go to that seminar! Oh my, I can go for a whole week and attend both seminars, with time to explore the area too!
YeahBut, my husband thinks it’s silly and a waste of money. I don’t want him to tease me endlessly like he does other people.So much I get to learn! These seminars are priceless in my own transformation alone, not to mention how that transformation makes me better in my profession! “Ididit!” As soon as you return home from the seminars, you realize your husband has done really well in caring for your home. He says nothing like you would have expected. Instead he is happy to see you and hear about your trip. This is support showing up for you, helping you give yourself permission and have confidence to move boldly forward and take your profession to the next step with your new training.
You may be pleasantly surprised at how fast transforming
YeahButs to Ididits can happen. The shifts may be small at times and massive at
others. One thing seems to be common….you notice that people treat you
differently, better. As your energy shifts, people are kinder, less critical.
You become less critical.
The Choice Is Yours
You get to choose what your “bare necessities” are.
Really – you can negotiate with Creator, the Universe, God/ess….You can tell
Creator that in order to be willing to do your work you need particular things
met. Such as you need your bills paid easily and effortlessly, without creating
unnecessary expenses. You need for your spouse to be happy and feel supported.
You need to feel supported and loved by your spouse. You need your children to
be happy and feel loved. You need a reliable and trustworthy house sitter when
you travel. You need a reliable computer with plenty of memory for all your
photos and recordings. You need a safe, reliable and comfortable vehicle that
you love and has good gas mileage. And so on….
Seriously. In prayer or meditation, tell Creator, the Universe, God/ess
what you need for you to happily, confidently move forward in your life purpose!
Be clear about it and watch what you ask for show up. Likely easier and more
pleasantly that anticipated.
The nature of energy is inherently neutral. This
gives you the choice of what you do with it. Used wisely, with clarity of mind,
heart and integrity, you can transform your YeahButs into Ididits, and raise
your thermostat in every area of your life. It is possible. You are deserving
and worthy of more than just the barest of necessities for survival. What is
really necessary for you to fulfill your life purpose? What is really necessary
for you to comfortably and confidently pursue your desires and your dreams? Ask
for it. You shall receive.
