The last few weeks, it seems that everything in our energy, in our shadow, individually and collectively has been tossed into the air. It’s much like a whirlwind in an office full of papers.
Now it is time to sort through and decide what to keep. We can decide to just stack the papers back up and shove them into files, or we can really take the time to look at each one and decide if we want it or not.
Some will decide to stuff it all back in. However, these “folders” will be bulging with bent and rumpled contents, bulging and begging for relief. The consequences of stuffing it all back in is more pain and suffering. More reasons to be angry. More reasons to lash out and demand that someone else behave differently. In the end – the self is the only one to suffer. This is unnecessary, and self-imposed.
Some will choose to take the time to check out each “paper” and see if it is still needed. Consequences of taking the time to check as much as possible before returning it to the “folder” are multi-faceted. It may mean some projects get put on hold for a day or two…or a week. It may mean ramped-up self-care. It may mean spending more time in solitude as you sort through all that has been whipped up. In the end, the consequences are lovely. You’ll have a clearer mind and heart. Projects that you’ve started will have new vision, purpose and even more momentum. Some may get scrapped – if they’re out of alignment with you. What you’ll find by taking the time to really check all those files, and releasing as much as you can, is that you’ll be more in alignment with your soul. Your purpose, vision, and even the next steps forward will be clearer. You will have access to more happiness, peace and joy.
What we are looking at releasing, individually and as a collective is sexism, racism, discrimination of all kinds, fear and hate. Feminism has a branch of man-haters, or misandrists. This is its own variety of sexism. It is still hate. Even the most well-meaning white person can be completely ignorant of the realities of other-than-white communities, people and culture, forming opinions based in this ignorance. It matters not one iota that their heart is in the right place, seeking equality or empowerment. (see this video for a good demonstration https://youtu.be/rrBxZGWCdgs) Discrimination, racism and fear can happen out of pure ignorance, even with good intentions. It is still discrimination which creates divisiveness. Hate is still rampant. Fear is even more rampant.
Those who are awake and aware may still carry such things buried deeply in the genetics, karmic history, and even residues at the soul level. These deeper facets are often quiet, which is why it has taken a whirlwind to bring these issues to light. There is a misperception that sexism and racism are far less than they once were. It is true that sexism, racism, hate and fear have changed – but it hasn’t necessarily reduced. It just shows up differently. Just because a business is required to ignore sex, race, orientation and religion when hiring employees doesn’t mean the one doing the hiring is without discrimination. Discrimination can still exist – even if it’s not acted upon or openly displayed. This is where false assumptions have been bred.
Thus we have an illusion of profound progress. This is showing up very clearly in recent weeks and months. The blinders are being ripped off. They needed ripped off because too many people have been ignoring the whispers of what they hold within themselves, somewhere. Ignoring the whispers, or genuinely not recognizing them led to a complacency and illusion of more “Peace & Love”, even toward and within the self than there really is at the deepest levels.
I know, this sounds harsh. So let’s look at a scenario of how and why the deeper, quiet whispers may have gone unnoticed.
Let’s say you are a white woman in a dark parking lot leaving the store. You see a man headed your way. Maybe he’s other-than-white. Maybe you’re in a neighborhood that is usually safe, but hey, you know…be safe. Your instinct is to be on high alert and ready to defend yourself – against a man who hasn’t yet given you a reason to fear. Your fear is deeper than that. It’s instinctual. Yet, a white man does not cause the same fear, evenif there is some unease. A woman passing by causes no fear. Do you see the discrimination here? Do you see how easily justifiable it is? It is still racism and sexism rolled together. Yes – it is important to be aware of your surroundings, your safety is important, your life is beyond valuable. Yet when an other-than-white man in a dark parking lot scares you more than a white man, or woman does, that’s the whisper!
All too often the whispers are tangled up in our programmed instincts, and it isn’t easy to decipher between the program and the practical reality. This is why it is so vitally important that on an individual level the whispers are noticed, recognized and explored in depth. Is it fair to be fearful of someone based on their sex and/or skin color? Is it fair to be fearful of someone based on their chosen fashion? (serious, clear symbols of gangs/violent organizations aside) Is that a just way of being? This in itself is a subtle form of injustice. It is programmed in, and has become part of the survival mechanism. This means that it is challenging to separate the survival instinct, the perceived danger, from the reality.
Deeper issues here are possibly a simple lack of unbiased discernment, and/or a lack of knowing what safety truly is. There may be a very real trauma involved. If someone doesn’t know what safety really is or feels like, they will see danger around all the time. There is little to no discernment of whether there is a real threat to their safety or not. The body stays on high-alert, everyone is a potential threat, and no one is to be trusted. Every tiny sound and perceived movement in the peripheral view sets off a shot of adrenaline.
We are all being called to examine our hidden “files” and sort through the contents. Doing so without criticalness or harsh judgement of self or others is vital. Being critical of one’s self actually slows the process, and creates resistance, often in the form of avoidance. Judging what might be found as "bad" creates deep avoidance, and even denial. Criticalness and harsh judgement have space to exist when we have decided that something is “bad” and something is “good”. This is very different from “wanted” and “unwanted”.
See, if you know your ancestors were racist, there very well may be some residues of that programmed into your genes. This is what the whispers, like the parking lot scenario, show you. Frankly, if we follow our lineage back as far as possible, we could very well hold racism, sexism, hatred and discrimination of all sorts within the genetic programs. There were times when this really was necessary as a matter of life and death. Hence, the programs created. However, in today’s society, even the tiniest bit of hate or discrimination is considered “bad”, so it is easier, safer, to deny that such a thing might exist deep within one’s self. To this, I say “Ok. There it is, it’s just a belief.” It really is. It is *just a belief.* It is your choice whether you judge it or not, whether you keep it or change it. Tip: It’s easier to change beliefs and programs, and the changes are much deeper when you explore without judgement.
Much has been done to promote equality for all. On the conscious level, much has changed, and a lot of progress made. It is time to really give that the credit it deserves. Sure, there is more to be done. However, we are reaching the point where we’ve done most of the “out there” work we can do at this point. Laws are in place to keep discrimination in check, hate crimes are punishable now when once upon a time they were not. However, no law stops one from feeling that hate, discrimination or fear – it just makes them think twice before acting upon it, and is punishable by law if they do act upon it. Still, clearly, this isn’t enough. The cry for equality and justice is still loud, far and wide. Why? Because hate, injustice, sexism, racism, fear, in all the variations still exist, and are deeply ingrained into nearly every culture and society….and unwitting individuals.
Now it is time to dive into the depths of our own individual programming. Gather up your courage to look deeply and be truthful with yourself. Allow yourself to see the truth of what is deep within your own being, and do so with love and compassion. There is no need to allow criticalness, harsh judgement or even guilt in here. This is your safe zone. It is your birthright to be the unbiased observer looking through your own archived program and belief files. There are people out there who can help you. The key is to work with spiritual teachers, healers and guides that have an unbiased approach that is free of criticalness. You are intuitive, you know who is a good fit for you. You may find it helpful to work with a few different people who use different techniques and modalities.
So what will you be keeping? You have time to sift through those files. You have time to do any healing work needed and desired. You have time to release those ancient residues still locked within your genetic structure. The best news? It’s ok.
It really is ok. YOU are ok.
As humanity ascends, evolves and raises in vibration, there is no room for hate, fear, or discrimination of any kind. To move toward more oneness and unity, all sources of divisiveness must be released. You are part of the evolution of humanity. This is the human species in evolution – and each individual affects the whole. Your happiness, love and joy affect the collective vibration, and so does the discrimination, fear and hate buried 10 generations back in your ancestral line.
Imagine a world where there is no need for anti-discrimination laws. What does it take to actually co-create that world? It takes individuals releasing such beliefs, programs and energies from the entirety of their being. Many have done loads of great work on the surface, yet it hasn’t reached the deepest depths. This is why whispers become whirlwinds. It is easy to see such things in others, yet difficult, and even painful at times, to see within the self at the deepest levels. It is necessary to recognize and change the uncomfortable truths within the self. When the whispers are heard, recognized, and dealt with, the need for a whirlwind to get your attention vanishes. Mass consciousness and unconsciousness is simply the collection of individual consciousness and unconsciousness. Therefore, as more individuals shift, change, heal and release dense thoughtforms, programs and beliefs, it will inevitably be reflected in the masses, effectively changing mass consciousness.
The whispers are calling you, asking you to heal, shift and release lower frequencies. Answer the call with love, compassion, and a little curiosity. This is how you can affect change in a much deeper way, and authentically be the change you wish to see in the world.
